About me
Do you have anxiety because of the uncertain times that we are living in? Does life sometimes feel 'too much' and do you feel anxious and unable to cope? I am trained and experienced and passionate about supporting you to make positive changes in your life.
If you have not had counselling before you may have many questions and wonder what happens? I will do my best to reassure you and answer any questions that you may have. Reaching out is the first step and is a very brave thing to do.
I am non-judgemental and I will work alongside you while you explore thoughts and feelings. This will enable you to look at unhelpful patterns of behaviour, make changes and improve your feelings of well being. I will support you while you explore these patterns and while you find new, more helpful ways of behaviour and being. You will become the you who you are meant to be.
As a member of the BACP I work within the guidelines of the Ethical Framework Document. I am calm and sensitive to the needs of clients. I believe that the counselling relationship is very important and that building trust is fundamental to the relationship.
I hold a current DBS and I am fully insured.

I have experience of working with attachment and loss, anxiety and depression, eating disorders, self-harming behaviours, child sexual abuse, domestic violence including emotional, physical and sexual abuse, rape trauma, trauma and PTSD, identity and role confusion, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, unemployment and work place issues, bullying, low self-esteem and sense of value, life transitions and difficulties with change, OCD and phobias,
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
