About me

Hello, my name is Tracey (she/her/hers). I am an integrative counsellor based in St. Helens, Merseyside. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and I am fully insured, and DBS checked. I work in Private Practice at Greenway Counselling and Training.

I trained in integrative counselling because I wanted to offer clients various options to manage their mental health. I am trained in the five most practised therapies they include person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, transactional analysis (TA), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).  Additionally, to these five models, I also have knowledge and understanding of compassion-focused therapy,  Object Relations,  Logotherapy,  Attachment Theory,  Choice Theory, and Gestalt Theory. Recently I completed my Bachelor of Science with Honours Degree and achieved a First Class. In my BSc (Hons) Degree, I chose to select two specialist areas to focus on. One was grief and loss, and the other was couples counselling. It has taken me five and a half years to complete my training overall, and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

How can I help you? First off, I can offer you a safe space to talk about whatever is making you unhappy. I work at your pace, and you have the complete reign of the session. The environment is confidential, and I am non-judgemental. Whatever you wish to discuss, I can tailor the therapeutic approach to meet your circumstances. You can develop knowledge and understanding, which will enable you to see your issues from a different perspective and learn skills and coping strategies to help you feel more empowered and happier.

I offer ten free sessions for two clients who work in the NHS, the Police,  the Fire Service,  the Ambulance Service or the armed forces. After the ten sessions, you are under no obligation to continue counselling, but if you choose to continue, I ask that you pay the full fee of £35 24 hours in advance of the session.  *Please note, These two spaces are currently full*

We can work together online over Zoom or work face-to-face in my home.

I also offer a free 30-minute consultation over the telephone to determine if I am the right counsellor for you.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
