About me

Sometimes we can be troubled by thoughts and feelings that take all our energy. It maybe that a life changing event or past experience means that day to day tasks are just too difficult to complete.

I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings so you can make sense of your world.

I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor with over 5 years experience. This means I am able to support you by drawing on a variety of counselling theories to find the one that is best suited to your needs. I believe that you are the expert in your life so I don't tell you what to do. I aim to work along side you supporting you to find a resolution to inner conflicts that you feel comfortable with.

What to expect in your first session.
Meeting somebody for the first time can be nerve racking, especially if you already are suffering from anxiety or depression. I understand this so the session will go at your pace. It is really just a time to get to know each other and discover if you feel comfortable talking to me. Sometimes it is difficult to put into words how you feel, don't worry about that we can work creatively to discover what troubles you.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
