Tina Allonby PG Dip Art Therapy (Distinction) QMUC
Hello, I'm Tina, a HCPC Registered Art Therapist with around 20 years experience in working with children and adults in art therapy, arts in health and art teaching.
What to expect:
Art Therapy is not dependent on spoken language and so it can be helpful for anyone who may find it difficult to express thoughts and feelings verbally. During the session you choose the art materials you prefer and how you want to work with them.
I will support your choice, process and way of working, we can then explore your artwork and process together. Your art-making can be a useful way of connecting with your experience and feelings on a different level to thinking and talking.
My work is person-centred and non directive, providing a safe, supportive, confidential space with a good variety of 2D and 3D art materials for you to explore your concerns creatively, and you don't have to be an artist or good at art!
My goal is to help facilitate communication and expression of thoughts and feelings through art-making, play and talking. So please see my website (listed above) for more information about me and my work and do contact me if you have any questions, I look forward to hearing from you.
