About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience specialising in the assessment and treatment of trauma related difficulties, including PTSD. I have worked in specialist trauma services in the NHS, and in private practice.

I hold a central London clinic on a Monday evening and currently have an in person appointment available at 6pm. I also offer remote sessions at other times.

If you would like to speak about starting therapy I offer a free telephone consultation as a first step.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am experienced in working with adults who have had traumatic experiences across the lifespan, whether in childhood or as an adult. I work by developing a shared understanding of the difficulties someone is experiencing and draw on expertise in Compassion Focused Therapy, EMDR, CBT, and narrative approaches. I work with clients toward their goals whether that be improving wellbeing, relationships, performance at work, and other areas of their lives.

I completed a Clinical psychology doctorate at UCL in 2013. I have undertaken additional training including in Compassion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am fully trained in EMDR.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
