Tim Grivell, MSc Integrative Counselling, MBACP
Considering counselling for the first time can be a daunting prospect, especially if you don't know what to expect. Counselling can be short-term or long-term, and we will talk about your expectations, hopes and concerns when we first meet, with no obligation to continue. If you are struggling with events or feelings that are weighing you down, or just need an impartial and friendly face to 'vent' to, then as an integrative counsellor I can help by offering the time and space in which to explore these thoughts and emotions together with you. There is no shame in seeking someone to talk to if it feels like you are struggling to function with all the emotional 'clutter' in your life, it is just important to feel comfortable when doing so.
I offer individual 50-minute sessions in Belper - time dedicated solely to you in which you can share whatever feels important to talk about at the time; there is no need to worry about wasting either my time or yours. Everything we discuss is confidential, and I will not pressure you to share more than you feel able to.
Training, qualifications & experience
I attained a BSc in psychology from the University of Northampton before staying on to complete my MSc in Integrative Counselling. During this time I completed 100 hours of supervised placement, and have since been in practice for 4 years, working in both charity and private settings. I am a registered member of the BACP and undertake regular CPD to ensure my skills are up-to-date.
If you have any questions around what integrative counselling is, or why it might suit you, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
