Tilly Peterson Reg. MBACP (Accred) PG Dip. Psychotherapy
I am a psychotherapist/counsellor with over twenty years post- qualifying experience in private practice: counselling, supervising, personal work consultation, stress prevention and reduction (especially for the caring professions) and teaching.
I offer both time limited and long term in depth work with individuals, young 16+ adults and couples.
My training and theoretical background is Integrative with Transactional Analysis and Gestalt as core models, which bring together psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and interpersonal traditions within a humanistic context.
I provide a private, safe and relaxed environment where you are offered acceptance, respect, support and a structure to help gain understanding.
I am happy to offer a free initial “meeting” session of thirty minutes or so to give you the opportunity to give your reasons for seeking help and assess whether you would like to continue. There is no obligation to continue, but if you do, sessions last for one hour and usually take place at weekly or fortnightly intervals. We can agree to review any progress made regularly (often after six sessions) to help decide whether further sessions are appropriate and if so, the direction you would like them to take.
My practice is in the coastal town of Watchet, which is on a regular bus route and is five minutes walk from the West Somerset Railway station and Watchet Marina.
