About me

Hello, I'm Tiggy and I run a counselling service within the UK for those aged 18 and over using a selection of online internet mediums. I also offer the option of telephone counselling if you are unable to use or access the internet, or if it is just a personal preference.

I can offer you online counselling using Zoom: choose from webcam, voice-only, instant messenger or email.  Sometimes the medium we think we are best suited to turns out not to be the case, therefore there is complete flexibility between these options.

I provide a non-judgemental, ethical counselling service based on listening carefully to you and your personal difficulties.  I can offer you a private, regular time and space specifically for you, where together we can explore your thoughts and feelings around what is troubling you.

I work as an Integrative counsellor which means I believe there isn’t just one therapeutic approach that fits every client.  I regard you 'holistically' as an individual with your own personal circumstances, and use elements of different approaches to help you explore and cope with your problems.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have spent 3 years working with a local charity as an adult counsellor. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychology) and also a member of ACTO (Association for Counselling and Therapy Online).

My counselling practice builds on my many years of life experience as a community nurse working with people from all different walks of life and cultural backgrounds.

My qualifications:

  • Diploma in Online Counselling (OCST)
  • Level 4 Diploma In Integrative Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB)
  • Registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)
  • Level 2 Membership of ACTO
  • BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
