Hi, I'm Tiffany and thanks for visiting my page.
Whatever brings you to counselling, whether it's a bereavement, if you're experiencing anxiety or depression, if your self-esteem or self-confidence is low or if you're experiencing relationship issues at work or at home, I will offer you a safe, friendly, non-judgmental and supportive space so you've got the time, space and freedom to explore, understand and overcome whatever you need to.
I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor and I want to be able to help support your journey through the counselling process by fostering a trusting and supportive relationship. Whatever the purpose for you seeking out counselling, I put you at the heart of any session and provide counselling which is individual to your needs and goals.
I am passionate about mental health and know it can help people untangle what's going on for them whilst they're going through a difficult time and I fully believe counselling is one of the best ways in which people can understand themselves and the world around them better. I really do think counselling is a form of self-care. How often do we find time for our thoughts, our feelings and our experiences? Counselling is the deal opportunity to do that.
Nobody's experiences in life are the same as anyone else's so I greet you and work with and for you as an individual, and by using our initial session (half price), I can get to know you and your needs so you get the most value from seeing me and importantly, you can meet and get to know me so you know you're working with the right person.
I work from a therapy room based in Saltney, just outside of Chester with free parking on site and easy access by public transport. My sessions are one to one and can be done on a short or long term basis, that is entirely up to you. If you'd like more information, or if you'd like to book an appointment, then please do get in touch.
My current working hours are Thursdays and Fridays 9.00am - 6.00pm. Some evenings available.
Thank you for taking the time to visit.
Training, qualifications & experience
Certificate of Counselling Skills
Diploma of Higher Education in Person-Centred and Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy
18+ months experience from my placement of working with drug and alcohol addiction and other issues for clients with mild to medium mental health needs at a well known charity in North Wales.
I am committed to continual learning and complete regular CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to refine my skills as a counsellor and provide all my clients with the best possible experience.
Prior to training as a counsellor, I worked in a variety of sales and service roles from a call centre to a baker! This has given me a huge wealth of experience in communication with people from a range of backgrounds and has given me the confidence and effective capability to interact with people.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Initial "get to know you" sessions last 50 minutes and cost £20
Subsequent sessions last 50 minutes and cost £40
I accept payment via cash or bank transfer (bank transfers payable in advance of sessions).
I work closely with the BACP Ethical Framework and work out of a quiet and discreet consultation room at a community hub just outside Chester. It is easily accessible by public transport, however there is free parking available on site in a private car park should you wish to drive to sessions.
Due to the location of my premises, it is accessible to individuals from Chester/Cheshire, Flintshire, Wrexham and beyond should you wish to travel.
