Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am happy you are taking the first steps towards speaking to someone and getting some help and support for whatever is causing you distress. I don’t believe anyone should be struggling with their difficulties alone; that is why talking therapy is beneficial, helping you to deal with the problems that you are facing. I am currently seeing clients online and hope to move to face to face in the next year.
What to expect from counselling.
As a humanistic and integrative counsellor, I see people holistically, comprising of mind, body, emotions, and spirit. Together we can explore the whole of you as a person from your unique viewpoint without judgements but paying particular attention to the here and now of your experience. I believe that our relationship from birth and childhood, shape and determine the way we are with ourselves and how we relate to others in adulthood. My aim is to empower you to develop a deeper insight into yourself through the relationship that we develop, allowing you to find a new way of being.
Our first meeting.
Finding the right therapist for you is very important. I invite you to call me and ask questions to enable you to decide whether you feel that I’m the right therapist for you. We can then arrange a face to face consultation or online, with no obligations, where we can see how we are together and decide whether we can have an ongoing therapeutic relationship. If we do commit to working together, I offer 50-minute session at a cost of £50.00 per session which can be paid in cash or bank transfer.
I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework and good practice guidelines. I undertake regular clinical supervision to ensure that I am working ethically and professionally and will maintain my own personal and professional development. I am also fully insured to be working in counselling and psychotherapy.
Training, qualifications & experience

BA in Photomedia (Photography)- Bournemouth University.
I have experience working with adults and young people in charity and private sector organisations such as Leicester Counselling Centre and Bilborough College.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
