The Harlow is team of 30+ dedicated, experienced & ethical Therapists, Counsellors & Coaches whose mission is to support our clients through periods of challenge and change. We also offer Complementary Therapy such as Nutritional Therapy, Hypnotherapy and Meditation.

Our team of therapists share extensive experience across many types of therapy including: person-centred, psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis (TA) , EMDR (specialist trauma therapy), therapy for Children and Young People and integrative approaches. 

Likewise we offer therapy to a range of clients whether individual, adults, children, couples, family and groups.

Training, qualifications & experience

The Harlow is an organisational member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). We abide by the ethical framework and follow the good practice guidance of the BACP.

All of our qualified therapists and coaches have recognised professional qualifications in an extensive range of therapies. 

All our staff and practitioners are DBS checked and are accredited and registered members of professional bodies such as the BACP, the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
