About us
The Cherrycroft Practice is a warm and welcoming multidisciplinary team. We work with children, teens, adults and families with a range of mental health difficulties. We specialise in working with complex developmental trauma, trauma, bonding and attachment, ADHD/ASD in adults and children, loss, anxiety, low mood and many other difficulties.
Our team consists of Clinical Psychologists, Art Therapists, Play Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapist, Counsellors and other Therapists. This means we can build bespoke packages of support.

Training, qualifications & experience
Our qualifications vary according to our professions. For example, as a Clinical Psychologist I hold an accredited degree in Clinical Psychology - Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Oxford University. Our team is highly skilled with a wealth of experience and additional trainings according to our areas of interest/expertise e.g. Theraplay, EMDR, DDP, ACT and so on.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

£60.00 - £130.00
Additional information
Our fees are dependent on the therapist you see. For example, support from an Assistant Psychologist costs £60/hour and a therapy session with a Clinical Psychologist is £130/hr. Art Therapy costs £100/session. OT is £90/session
Adoption work through the Adoption Support Fund are costed separately.
Group work costs per session is dependent on the type of group.

Cherrycroft is OFSTED regulated around our work with adoption relates issues. We practice safer recruitment and so our therapists are carefully selected and supervised.
We are an inclusive practice and so several of our team are neurodivergent or have neurodivergent family members which we feel enhances our practice.
We also engage in research and clinical audit.
