About me
Hi, I am Thalia and I help individuals to move forward and find their self worth again after being in abusive relationships.
- Is anxiety limiting your ability to move forward?
- Are you constantly worrying about things that seem trivial?
Are you overthinking everything? - Does anxiety stop you from doing the things that you used to love?
- Are feelings of low self-esteem holding you back?
- Do you struggle to trust your own judgment?
- Do you yearn to take back control of your life?
- Do you feel like you don’t know who you are any more?
Take the First Step:
You deserve to live a life that is fulfilling, meaningful, and authentic. If you're ready to take the first step towards positive change, It's time to reclaim your life. As a BACP registered counsellor, I specialise in supporting survivors of domestic abuse and helping them to find themselves again as well as taking back control of their lives. I invite you to reach out to schedule a consultation. Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing.
I am committed to supporting adults and young people on their journey towards healing and self-discovery. My approach is rooted in warmth, understanding, compassion, empathy and the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and positive change. I provide both short and long-term therapy to individuals in Leicestershire (based in Fosse Park, Leicester) I also provide remote counselling online.
Understanding your struggles:
Our lives can present challenges in our home, work or even social life that often result in complex emotional situations. I specialise in connecting with the deep emotions you're experiencing. Feeling alone, confused, lost direction, hypervigilance, irritability, abandonment and feelings of shame and guilt. The fear of trusting your own judgment and the questions in your head can be overwhelming, wishing you had an ‘off switch’ for all those intrusive barrage of thoughts.
Impact on day-to-day life:
Emotional struggles can make it harder in your daily life, causing brain fog, difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness, hypervigilance and an overwhelming sense of guilt, especially in your relationships with your partner, family, and even your work colleagues. Getting out of bed every morning may feel like an impossible task and the desire to please others may overshadow your own needs. Decision-making becomes a challenge, leaving you feeling stuck and questioning your own self-worth. I want you to know that you're not alone.
How I Can Help:
I am here to support you on your journey to rediscover your worth, find confidence, and uncover your purpose. Together, we can work towards helping you to find relief by managing the burden of anxiety, providing you with a sense of calm and clarity. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gaining insights that lead to calm and self-assurance for that positive transformation that you are looking for, and empowering you with the tools to be able to face your future with confidence.
My Journey to Counselling
My path to becoming a counsellor is deeply rooted in my own lived experiences. Like you, I've faced my own share of challenges, and it was through therapy that I found the warmth, empathy, and acceptance I needed to heal. This transformative experience ignited my passion for helping others navigate their own paths to healing and self-discovery. I feel extremely fortunate that I have a career that enables me to help people with their own lived experiences. I bring not only professional expertise, but also a genuine understanding of the transformative power of therapeutic support.
If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, I'm here to guide and support you every step of the way. Together, we can work towards a future filled with confidence, purpose, and a renewed sense of self.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
