About me
Are you struggling in a difficult relationship, navigating broken trust or feeling unvalued? Maybe you find yourself walking on eggshells, afraid to express your needs, emotions, or boundaries for fear of conflict or being dismissed. Perhaps you’re constantly overthinking everything, wondering if things will ever change.
How counselling can help
Counselling can help you:
- Engage in your relationships with a clearer mind and improved wellbeing by feeling calmer and no longer weighed down.
- Build more fulfilling and harmonious connections by gaining a deeper understanding of your relationship patterns and making healthier choices.
- Feel better understood, respected, and valued by improving how you express your needs, emotions, and boundaries - reducing misunderstandings and conflicts.
It is possible to lead to a life where you feel more empowered, connected, and in control, so you can thrive personally and professionally.
Relationship counselling for individuals
Through my work with adults facing relationship struggles, whether navigating a crossroads, facing conflict, or processing loss, I’ve seen how counselling can bring insight and empowerment. My experience helps me understand the complexities and diversity of relationships, so I can support you in finding your own way forward.
Counselling for Carers
For over a decade I supported carers of loved ones with eating disorders as a group facilitator and peer coach, helping the caregiver build resilience and find effective ways to cope. My charity work has also involved counselling adults with chronic health conditions and their carers, giving me deep insight into the challenges they face and how to support meaningful change.
Counselling for Young Adults
I am currently an associate counsellor in a university setting, working with students and young adults (aged 18-25) navigating the pressures of growing independence, relationship and social difficulties, and anxiety and depression.
About Me
Alongside my IT career, over 28 years in the airline industry, I’ve navigated motherhood, divorce, parenting, a blended family, caring for loved ones with acute health conditions and loss, giving me deep insight into life's challenges. My work with a wide range of men has also provided valuable insights on communication and relationships from multiple perspectives.
Coming from a background where emotions weren’t openly discussed, I initially chose a logical, structured career. Over time, I found myself drawn to the human side of work - supporting people in complex situations. Now, as a therapist, I bring both real-world experience and deep empathy to my practice.
A tailored approach
My varied experience has deepened my understanding of the many ways people process emotions, communicate, and form relationships, allowing me to offer therapy that is tailored to each client’s unique experience.
LGBTQ+ & Neurodiversity Affirming
I work with LGBTQ+ individuals and those with a diagnosis or awaiting a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD, offering an inclusive, understanding space.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
