Teresa Finlay - UKCP accredited Psychoanalytic and Relational Psychotherapist
I am a qualified and accredited psychoanalytic psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience of working with clients experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties. I have extensive experience of working with the following:
- low mood
- poor self-esteem
- reduced motivation
- disordered eating
- emotionally unstable/borderline personality disorder
- emotional intensity
I have a particular interest and specialism in working with all forms of emotional intensity, attachment issues and difficulties in interpersonal relationships (be that with partners, friends, family, work colleagues).
I aim to help clients gain understanding and insight into their difficulties, to feel more in control of their lives, achieve greater contentment and balance and find healthy coping strategies to manage difficult experiences.
Since qualifying I have completed further CPD training in trauma-focused models, mindfulness interventions and Mentalization Based Therapy which is recommended for treatment of Borderline and Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder.
I have also completed the STEPS training via the NHS so am qualified to offer short-term skills-based interventions as well as open-ended therapy.
I offer a 30 minute initial meeting for £20. If you would like to book an initial appointment with me please contact me via this website or at email@example.com.
