About us

If you are feeling stuck, if you have tried things already that haven’t worked, if you find yourself trapped in patterns of behaviour that no longer serve you – we can help you get unstuck and move forward. Taproot Psychology is a team of trauma-informed counsellors, psychotherapists, CBT therapist and psychologists that provide face-to-face and online trauma therapy.

Our approach to trauma recovery involves:

  • Intervention designed to help reconnect you to your mind, body and spirt
  • Taking the time to really get to know you and understand the root of your trauma experiences
  • Addressing how trauma affects your brain so that you can understand your experiences from a biological and neurological standpoint
  • Resources beyond our therapy sessions to help you further understand you traumatic experience(s)

Our trauma therapists help you find your roots so you can ground yourself and tap into your inner strength and resilience.

We want you to know that we don't just work with trauma - we support anyone you struggles with depression, anxiety and low-self esteem as a result of adverse life experiences.

Training, qualifications & experience

We offer a range of individual therapies in line with NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidance. All of our therapists are registered, highly trained, experienced and committed to continued professional development. Many therapists have training in more than one therapy modality and are therefore in the best position to offer tailored, individualised therapy to meet your needs, drawing from the most up to date, evidence-based interventions. You can see the therapeutic approaches we offer below.
