Gestaltinpractice Tania Tuft
Coming to see a therapist can be the first step to change and growth.
I work with people presenting with a range of difficulties in their relationships and in life.
There may come a time in your life when 'coping' is not enough, and you are able to commit time to exploring what other options there are - emotionally and creatively; when living a 'thin' life feels unsatisfactory.
Self-exploration is a way of realising what interesting creatures we all are, a way of facing up to truths that will enrich our lives, of gaining contact with ourselves as an antidote to loneliness and feelings of isolation.
I spent 2 years in the NHS working at a North London medical practice. Over the past years I have continued to work with a range of clients from many different walks of life and also offer systemic constellations for people wishing to look at their family system.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified and experienced BACP registered Gestalt Counsellor. I have worked for several years with the NHS, for Mind and in private practice, with people bringing a wide range of concerns and painful situations and my approach is both relational and creative.
I have worked with many presenting concerns including anxiety, burn-out, relationship difficulties, depression, identity (including change of life, sexual, age, cultural) and self-value; trauma, and family work including historical family constellations, fertility issues, post-natal depression and overwhelm. I also work with people who have had developmental events or interruptions, such as leaving their family of origin or attending boarding school, which may be impacting their lives as adults.
As well as training in Gestalt and in bodywork, my BA was in philosophy. I have a Diploma in Gestalt and Humanistic Counselling including loss and bereavement; a Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy. I am a member of the BACP.
