About me

I’m Tamsin, a BACP-accredited therapist, and I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can begin to make sense of whatever life is throwing your way.

You might be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low mood, family pressures, low self-esteem—or just stuck and unsure of what’s next. Whatever’s going on, you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where we can work together to understand what’s happening and help you move forward.

My approach is integrative, which means I tailor therapy to you, drawing from a range of models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness, breathwork, and visualisation techniques to support emotional regulation, reduce stress, and help you reconnect with yourself.

I’m currently training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that supports the brain in reprocessing distressing experiences. EMDR helps reduce the emotional intensity of difficult memories and allows more adaptive beliefs to take their place—so you can move forward with greater ease and clarity. Whilst I am training I am able to offer discounted rates for therapy for EMDR online only.

With experience in both the NHS and private practice, my work is grounded in ethical, evidence-based practice. Whether you’re hoping to build confidence, heal from the past, or simply feel more like yourself again, I’m here to support you.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can talk through what you’re looking for and see if we’d be a good fit. I’m also able to offer discounted rates for clients who attend sessions remotely.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
