I offer confidential counselling, a safe space in which to explore and talk about whatever you feel you would like to talk about.
Counselling can be used to offload problems and as a space to share areas of your present life with a trusted confidant.
Counselling can also be used as a form of self-development, working with a counsellor can help you to highlight new areas or areas which you may not necessarily have been aware.
Counselling can help to clarify situations and help you to recognise your role. Also, of course, CBT counselling can help you to work with your own mental states, working towards change and improvement and thus helping you to feel better.
Every person on the planet does go through a process of becoming Human. We all go through it. Some of us go through it quicker and easier than others and some of us have so many twists and turns we can end up not knowing who we are are what we what. Counselling can help you to find clarity, create goals and find purpose in your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
Having a counsellor who is intuitively present can help bring clarity where there is confusion, hope where there is despair and I do offer a shining light to help guide clients through the darkest, often most confusing parts of their paths.
My training: One year of basic counselling, at level one, a further year of Intermediate counselling at level two, year three saw Foundation Counselling at level three. Years four and five to complete the Level Four Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
Integrative Counselling does allow the Counsellor a range of tools to use to help clients. Integrative Counselling embraces CBT, Person-Centred and psycho-dynamic styles of counselling.
Personally I have had 40 hours of personal therapy during the course of my studying, which is a really important part of the self development process. My experience of technically counselling others has been in my local homeless centre where I have been counselling 4-5 clients on a weekly basis since July 2015.
I also have a degree with the Open University in Psychology and Literature.
My therapeutic style is person-centred, holistic, spiritiual. I would only use CBT 'techniques' or modalities if I felt you as a client might benefit from the experience, and only after agreeing it with you beforehand.

My current fees are £40.00 per hour.
The number of sessions you have is entirely up to you. From experience, I have seen some clients who are happy to have had four sessions and then they have decided they can manage on their own from there. The majority of clients start with a commitment of six sessions followed by an extension to ten sessions if they feel they need them.
Having seen the effect of six sessions and knowing there is a beginning, a middle and an end to therapy, this flow can be lost by only having one session or having open ended sessions. It does seem to make sense to book a set of sessions, but this is entirely your choice.
I do have an office based in Southend, as well as an office in Harley Street, London. I offer counselling services from my home in Leigh on Sea and I do offer a home counselling service for anyone who does have mobility difficulties or any other reason they feel unable to travel to counselling.
