About me
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I have over 10 years’ experience delivering individual and group therapy in a variety of mental health settings. At present, in addition to my private practice, I work as a senior psychologist in the NHS; I also work as a Guest lecturer on a number of postgraduate courses in London.
Each person’s journey to and reason for coming to therapy is different. You may have been feeling overwhelmed, hopeless or distressed for some time, knowing what the cause is but not knowing what to do about it. Alternatively, you may not be exactly sure what the problem is but know that something just isn’t quite right. Whatever your reasons are, I will offer you a warm, non-judgemental and compassionate space to explore and make sense of your experiences and their impact. I have extensive training and experience in a number of therapy models (listed below); I primarily offer integrative psychological therapy, drawing on these models to offer you an approach tailored to your needs and goals.
Humanistic therapy
Psychodynamic therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapies
Compassion Focussed Therapy
Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR)
In addition to these, my work is heavily informed by intersectional and Black feminist theories and research on intergenerational trauma. Some of my areas of interest and expertise are:
Relationship difficulties (romantic, platonic and familial), including family estrangement
Trauma and PTSD
Identity and self-esteem difficulties
Loss and bereavement
If you are interested in working with me, get in touch and we can arrange an initial appointment. I look forward to meeting with you. Take care for now.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
