About me
It can be a lonely place carrying the weight of circumstances on your own. Work and life pressures can, at times, feel insurmountable and talking with loved ones or friends, if you have them, isn’t always easy or enough. You might feel guilty, believing you are burdening them, and they can sometimes feel overwhelmed and powerless, wanting to help, but not knowing how. You may be on your own and have no one to talk to.
Then, talking to a professional who knows nothing about you, can be a refreshing change. There’s no judgement of you; no need for guilt and no barriers to the topics brought. There is only conversation, exploration, and eventual transformation.
Therapy can look at current situations, recent incidences or those stemming from childhood. In fact, a lot of what occurs in our present lives has some link to our personal histories. This is where conversation and exploration untangle, peel back and delve in, to reveal obstructive patterns of behaviours, thoughts, and feelings, resulting in awareness, choice, and transformation.
Therapy can help you create the life you want.

I am an Eclectic, Holistic, and Integrative Psychological and Therapeutic Counsellor. I work with a range of approaches and strategies specific to the client’s aims, goals and needs as they progress within the work. Since 1997, I have been supporting people to help themselves back to self-worth, confidence, autonomy, and happy lives.
I was working face-to-face until 2020 when I began working from home as a telephone counsellor. This work has proven to be far more dynamic than I could have realised. Due to the visual anonymity of telephone work, clients say it helps them to focus more on their issue(s).
My working schedule is morning and afternoon/evening, Monday to Thursday and Friday morning.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
