About me

Choosing a therapist can be confusing and probably a little overwhelming but it is important to choose the right therapist to help you to open up about your thoughts and feelings so you can see your problems in a new way. I work collaboratively with my clients by providing a safe and confidential space for you to explore. I see the individual and acknowledge each one of us has had unique life experiences.

As a Humanistic counsellor, I believe that you have the tools within yourself to make the changes you want and find the answers you are searching for. Your reasons for seeking professional support can be as diverse and unique as we each are.

In our sessions, it will be up to you to decide what you want to work on. This is the best way to find your solutions.

I will help you notice patterns, discover what you feel so that when you find the answers for yourself they will have more meaning.

I will do this by offering respect, empathy and a safe non-judgmental space.

I abide by the BACP's ethical guidelines. My practice is fully covered by professional insurance and supervised by an experienced BACP supervisor.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
