About me

Hello, I'm Suzanne, an experienced and compassionate counsellor offering long and short term therapy.

Maybe there is a specific issue or issues that bought you here today or maybe you feel stuck in patterns of thoughts, feelings or behaviours that no longer serve you. Or you may not be clear about what led you here. I will work with you to discover what you want from therapy and together we will pursue your realistic and achievable goals.

I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is paramount to the work we will do together and influences the success of the therapy. I offer a caring, empathic and safe confidential space. I am non-judgmental, open minded and authentic.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

My approach is Transactional Analysis, which is flexible, adaptable and inclusive.

Having originally trained and qualified as a barrister I have a capacity to grasp and hold complex issues, boundaries and confidentiality. I have also worked as personal and lifestyle assistant to A-list celebrities and senior board level executives – this has given me an understanding of the corporate world and the arts.

I work in private practise, volunteer with a charity and work with NHS clients.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

My first session

I offer an initial 20-30 minutes exploratory session on Zoom preferably or by telephone. Please contact me to arrange a time. There is no charge for this first session.

This is an opportunity to have a conversation about what you are seeking to get from therapy, what issues you want to talk about and a chance to see who I am. If we agree we want to work together, we will decide on a time to meet each week.

At present sessions the majority of my work is on Zoom.  There is an opportunity for face-to-face sessions in West and in North West London
