There is a reason you are looking for a counsellor. Sometimes the reason is clear, like when we are struggling with a bereavement or the end of a relationship, but sometimes the reason is not so clear.
Counselling can be about taking the time to try and uncover and understand what it is that is unsettling us. It can also be about finding another person to join us in this exploration, and in the confusion and uncertainty we may be experiencing.
It may also be about getting to know ourselves better so that we can make more informed choices in our life and relationships. We learn and change through our relationships with other people and this is a part of what can happen during counselling.
I have a special interest in working with people who have had, or are experiencing, difficulties in their relationships, whether with family, friends, partners or previous counselling.
If you would like to arrange an initial meeting or ask any questions please feel free to contact me by e-mail or phone.
