Llanelli Counselling Service - Susi De Lacey MBACP (Reg.,) DipIIP
Are you feeling overwhelmed? Struggling with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, insomnia, painful memories, intrusive thoughts, work related stress or fear redundancy? Has someone or seriously ill? Perhaps a relationship has broken down? Maybe caring responsibilities, family issues are difficult.
Clients discuss their problems in my safe warm counselling room. We then use creative techniques based on Adlerian Theory and CBT to help you overcome the issues, develop self-encouragement and motivation. I focus on looking at how your birth order, early recollections and perceptions growing up affect your coping strategies and patterns of behaviour in adulthood. This understanding can help you find better ways of dealing with difficult situations, feel stronger and healthier again.
For over 10 years I've helped people with mental health issues access support. I've worked as an NHS Counsellor and as the Counselling Co-ordinator for Swansea MIND. I became a counsellor & psychotherapist to help people who find it difficult to cope, feel overwhelmed, anxious and depressed but felt worried about asking for help. Together we can work on increasing your confidence, self-esteem and coping strategies with encouragement and support. Make that step. Call 01554701755 or text 07476555338
Training, qualifications & experience
After a career in law, I spent 10 years helping people with learning disabilities or mental health issues access support from local authorities, health professionals and charitable organisations. Then I retrained as a counsellor to learn how to support people that had sometimes found it hard to cope, felt sad, overwhelmed, anxious and depressed.
I am a fully qualified experienced Counsellor & Psychotherapist and a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists ( BACP) and also of The Adlerian Society Institute for Individual Psychology. I have an enhanced Disclosure & Baring Service Check. I am registered with the Information Commissioners Officer and insured.
