About me

I  am a Consultant Family & Systemic Psychotherapist who has been offering therapy to individuals, couples, children and families in the NHS for the last 20 years.

I offer online therapy to address a range of relational and emotional difficulties.

I believe that sometimes we need to dedicate a safe place to understand and strengthen our most important relationships.  I also believe that there are times in life where we need to give ourselves time and space to manage the pressures upon us.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) Family & Systemic Psychotherapist and Supervisor. I have also published on a range of therapeutic and supervision topics.

My training was at the Tavistock clinic.

I have primarily worked in child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) settings, including specialist eating disorder services.  I have also worked in adult services with a focus on couple and parenting work.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss whether sessions may be useful to you. I will offer a prompt initial conversation (free of charge) and if required, advice about what other supports you may be able to pursue.

I can then go on to offer an assessment where we can think together about the goals, frequency and timings of sessions, including whom you may wish to involve.
