Sue Saxby-Smith PhD, MSc, MBACP(Accred).
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, psychotherapist and CBT practitioner with a private practice in Dorking town centre. There is ample parking available nearby. I offer both short and longer-term therapy dependent upon your needs. My practice is based upon providing a safe and confidential space to enable you to explore issues and to consider how to move forward. Finding a therapist you feel you can trust and relate to is important, and for this reason I offer an initial session free of charge and without obligation.
In addition to my private practice, I have also worked in the NHS as a staff counsellor and for counselling services in Guildford and Wimbledon. I am also a BUPA recognised therapist and have enhanced CRB clearance.
My training enables me to draw upon a range of approaches to explore the difficulties you may be facing and to identify an appropriate way to address them. The approaches I commonly use include Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). Please see my website for further information.
