About me

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.  I have helped clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties including: anxiety, bereavement, depression, abuse, low self-esteem, work-related problems, stress and family relationships.

My approach is empathic and respectful with client autonomy at the very heart of my work.  I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental, supportive and confidential space where you will be treated with openness, acceptance and sensitivity.  We can explore whatever you need to bring to our sessions working at your pace.

I have counselled in a GP surgery, at various agencies in the voluntary sector, as well as now in private practice.  I work with clients both long term and also in a short term, more focused way.  We can discuss your individual needs during our initial consultation session and review them as our work progresses.

My practice is a two-minute walk from Petts Wood Station, which is served by frequent , direct trains from Victoria, Charing Cross, Cannon Street, London Bridge and St Pancras.  Or, if you want to drive to the session, there are several parking options.

Please ring me on 07914 135159 or send me an email and I will be happy to answer any questions and to give you some idea of current availability.  If for any reason, I am unable to take your call at that time, you can leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

I offer a concessionary fee of £30 for student counsellors.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
