Sue Pepper MA (Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling) UKCP MBACP
I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor based in Maldon, Essex. My aim is to offer the support that you need, in a safe, confidential and accepting environment. Working together, we will explore your experiences and search for a better understanding of your feelings, and how they play out in your life and relationships. Counselling can help you manage what is happening now, and move towards positive changes in the future.
As an integrative counsellor, I work in a flexible way, drawing on a wide range of therapeutic approaches, but always taking into account your individual needs and preferences. I am happy to see clients for both short term counselling, often focused on a specific issue, and for psychotherapy where a longer timescale allows for deeper engagement.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent many years teaching the Alexander Technique, working with body movement and co-ordination. As a result, I am especially interested in the relationship between our physical and emotional states, and in the many different ways we respond to stress.
I studied at The Minster Centre, London, completing a Diploma in Integrative Counselling in 2011 and an M.A. in Integrative Psychotherapy in 2013.
