Stuart Estrella-Pinto Msc(Psychol), Dip.Couns., MBACP(Accred), MBPsS
Coronavirus (Covid-19) Note: for the duration of these very unusual circumstances, I am unable to offer face-to-face appointments. Counselling appointments are still available by phone or video.
My name is Stuart and I am a fully trained and Accredited Counsellor. Beyond this, I also hold a Masters degree in Psychology. I have extensive experience of providing counselling on a wide range of issues, this experience having been gained over the years working as a counsellor for the NHS, several universities, hospices and in private practice.
I have extensive experience in working with all issues but particularly those affecting university students and also with people experiencing different forms of fatigue; including chronic fatigue syndrome, cancer related fatigue and in counselling people diagnosed with cancer or their friends and family.
My aim is to provide you with support and help you work through whatever problems to you are facing. As a counsellor, I work without prejudice or judgement and at the pace that best suits you. The focus of the therapy I provide is on helping you understand the causes of the troubles you are facing and to try to help you find solutions that actually work for you. In this way, the work I undertake with clients is a collaboration between us.
If you would like to book an appointment or have further questions, please get in touch.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
