About me

Please note I am UKCP registered and accredited to offer online and telephone sessions during the current restrictions.

Everybody wants to get the most out of life but that feeling can be blocked for reasons you may or may not understand.

This can leave you stuck and feeling frustrated, anxious and alone.

I understand how and why that can happen and have a plan to help you resolve it.

Counselling and Psychotherapy have helped many clear the path and feel better when they felt unable to do so themselves.

Those methods are available to you here, along with valuable additional expertise.

I use a 3 stage process, combining therapy techniques to make you comfortable  and guide you to where you want to be;

1 Understanding your specific needs.

2 Creating an approach individual to you.

3 Guiding and supporting you through the process.

Using Counselling alone or combining it with Psychotherapy or Hypnotherapy, we optimise your ability to recover quickly.

As a multi-award winning BACP, CNHC, NCH and UKCP Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Psychologist, Clinical Supervisor and Vice Principal of a UKCP accredited training college, you are sure of the highest expertise to help make your change quickly.

You can choose to make that change now by contacting me.

I work with clients who refer themselves, are referred by their GP, occupational health services or medico-legal providers, in Bolton or Worsley, Manchester.

Appointment times include daytime, evenings and weekends to suit you.

I specialise in anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder and relationship issues but can help you with a much wider range of problems.

Choosing me as your Counsellor, means that you benefit from extensive additional training in Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy and Psychology.

The purpose of that training is to help you achieve your goals as easily as possible in safe hands.

For many Counselling is enough, but Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy are added benefits if you need them.

To secure your appointment, please click through to my website or contact me confidentially by phone or email.

I look forward to working with you.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
