I currently practice as a Person Centred Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Supervisor in Telford, Shropshire and the West Midlands. I also offer Skype counselling nationally and internationally.
My experience is wide and varied. I work with adults and children and I also work with couples and families. I also work with adults and children with Learning Disabilities and have particular experience working with people within the Autistic Spectrum.
I have been offering counselling to people from the LGBT+ community for a number of years and have gained a wealth of experience working with individuals from the Trans* community as well as Sexual Health Services.
Up until recently, as an academic, I taught a range of communication and interpersonal skills to student nurses, paramedics and also those studying at degree and pre-degree level in University.
I have worked successfully with vulnerable children in and outside of the care system.
Working in partnership with 2 Police Authorities offering training, advice and support when working with vulnerable people has been a particular area of interest.
I offer Person Centred Counselling Supervision to counsellors as well as supervision to Learning Disability Nurses and those working with people with learning disabilities in a caring or supportive role. I offer training around a number of key themes and all training delivery can be developed as bespoke packages.
