I have been working as a therapist for several years, having previously trained as a Youth Support Worker. I have experience of counselling adults of all ages, as well as young people from the age of 14. This is the minimum age I will work with.
I have found adaptability to be an important factor in working effectively with someone, whatever their age. I make a point of ensuring that sessions are a collaborative experience, which helps to develop an all important trust.
I work in the Southampton, Eastleigh and Totton areas and can offer appointments in the evenings and at weekends.
I offer both long and short term therapy, as well as a variety of different counselling approaches, adapting to meet your needs.
Our initial session will be a chance for us to get to know more about each other, helping us to assess if we can work effectively together. We will also review the counselling every few weeks to help ensure you are getting the most out of it.
I have experience of working with:
- Suicidal ideation
- Self harm
- Family breakdown
- Loss and bereavement
- Fears of the future
- Gender identity
- Drug and alcohol misuse.
