About me

Some areas I work with include the following:

  • Psycho-Education
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Restoring Deficiency of Parental Nurturing
  • Mother & Father wounds
  • Stuck Child Syndrome
  • Relaying Emotional Foundations
  • Rebuilding a Healthy Sense of Self
  • Complex Trauma Analysis
  • Dysfunctional Family Systems
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Couples Counselling

I work with a diverse range of people offering Counselling, Psychotherapy and Theologically based Christian Prayer Ministry. If my client's presenting issues has a spiritual root alongside of psychological and emotional factors part of the treatment process will include talking therapy and prayer ministry which is optional.

Some of the client groups, I have worked with are teachers, solicitors, the CEO of a Bank, pastors/ministers, personal bodyguards, children from broken families, teenagers, elderly and vulnerable adults.

I provide a safe space for counselling online or by telephone. Building and establishing a confidential therapeutic relationship built on trust, modelling a healthy way of relating which is absent of abuse, where the client feels safe to open up and offload without fear of being judged or criticised.

I use active listening skills, to hear, understand, affirm and reflect back to the client any underlying issues identified to work with clients goals and objectives in a coherent client centred way, to enable psychological growth, healing and development. I work in a co-created way collaboratively to agree and formulate any interventions for the treatment process, to be used inside and outside of therapy.

I am a conscientious and caring Integrative Counsellor with a wide spectrum of skills and life experience. My previous experience in Business Management and Social Health working with vulnerable people  adds value to my counselling skills and informs the way I practice.

I enjoy working relationally, ethically and safely with different people groups. I have a track record of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.

My experience in providing excellent customer service in the business sector underpins any treatment or specialist psychological assessments. I work with Clarkson's Five Relationship framework and integrate it with other therapeutic approaches - Person Centred Counselling, Attachment Theory and Christian Counselling. I am able to help clients with mental health problems - trauma, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and relationship conflicts based upon an appropriate assessment of presenting issues.

Please feel free to contact me, if you have any questions or queries. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
