About me
Hi I'm Stephen. I understand that anxiety can be overwhelming—whether it's social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias, or general worries that impact your daily life. My approach is grounded in evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which equips you with practical tools and strategies to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours.
Through compassionate, individualized counselling, I create a safe space where you can explore your concerns, develop healthier coping skills, and build the confidence you need to thrive. My goal is to help you reclaim control over your life, transforming anxiety into an opportunity for personal growth and resilience.
Together, we’ll work at your pace to break through barriers and unlock a future where you feel empowered and at peace. If you're ready to make a positive change, I’m here to walk that journey with you.

Further information
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based therapeutic approach that helps individuals understand and reshape the thought patterns fuelling their anxiety. In our sessions, we work together to identify negative automatic thoughts—like catastrophizing or assuming the worst—and examine the underlying beliefs that contribute to overwhelming emotional responses. By learning to challenge and reframe these distorted perceptions, you can develop healthier responses to anxiety-provoking situations. This process empowers you to take control over your mental landscape, turning anxiety from a paralyzing force into a set of manageable challenges.
Additionally, CBT provides you with practical skills and techniques that extend beyond the therapy room, promoting long-term resilience and self-efficacy. Whether you're dealing with social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias, or general anxiety, the strategies we work on—such as exposure techniques, relaxation methods, and problem-solving skills—can help you navigate daily stressors with confidence. Over time, you'll not only reduce the immediate symptoms of anxiety but also build a toolkit that supports sustained emotional well-being and a more balanced, fulfilling life.
