About me

Hi there, my name is Steph and I am a qualified counsellor, with a passion for creativity and spirituality. It can be a difficult decision finding a counsellor, so please do have a read about me and what I can do for you.

How can counselling help?

It is human nature to feel anxious, stressed, frustrated, sad, angry and/or lonely when things are not comfortable in our lives. This may be due to current situations or past events.

Often these emotions and life experiences become overwhelming and affect our day to day living. My passion is to support you to live a loving and compassionate life, to help you to listen to your inner voice, find your true identity and work through your troubles to enable you to connect within and move forwards.

In our sessions I can help you to make sense of the what, the why and how. What is making you feel a certain way, why it is affecting you and how together, we can find YOUR path to self-awareness, acceptance, forgiveness and progression. You do not need to cope alone or seek the answers to your questions by yourself.

Why work with me?

I know first hand how certain events and circumstances can throw a curveball in life and how difficult it can be to either stay on track or divert to a new one. I also fully appreciate how the journey of therapy can feel both awakening and brave at the same time. My commitment to you is to offer a confidential space for you to share your worries, be authentic and non-judgemental.

I also offer therapy through Art in my sessions, however I must specify I am not yet a qualified Art Therapist.

What to expect in your first session.

The first session is a great opportunity for us to meet and greet one another, whether this be at my private practice or via zoom. We will explore how counselling may help and if counselling is suitable for you at this time. My private and comfortable room is based in my home in Malvern.

The importance of a therapeutic relationship

It is important to find the right counsellor for you so you can really get the most from your sessions. I offer a free 30 minute consultation where we can discuss how I may be able to help you and you can decide if you would like to continue with counselling.

Getting in touch

Please feel free to email or telephone me to discuss booking an initial session/consultation. Please note I do not work over the weekend, therefore I will respond to any queries the next working day. I aim to respond to all weekday enquiries within 24 hours.

Thank you for reading and feel free to get in touch

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
