About me
Welcome!
My name is Stephanie, and I am a qualified integrative counsellor offering telephone, video call, or walk-and-talk counselling sessions. I understand how daunting this process can be and aim to make it as easy as possible for you.
As an integrative counsellor, I recognise that no single type of therapy is suitable for everyone. I adapt our sessions to meet your unique needs, always providing a safe, non-judgmental space for us to explore together.
With nearly a decade of experience working with children and young people in various settings, I have built a deep understanding of their needs. Over the past three years, I have further extended my knowledge therapeutically. Additionally, I have a year of experience working with adults in a therapeutic setting.
Finding the right therapist can be a mine-field, which is why I offer a free 30-minute consultation. This allows us to get to know each other and discuss why you are seeking counselling.
If you're still feeling unsure, please feel free to message me with any questions you may have.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a FDA in Counselling studies and I am building on that with a BA HONS in Counselling studies.
I have worked with children using play therapy and teenagers with social and emotional needs offering a walk-and-talk option.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
