The focus of my approach is in building a trusting relationship with my client, so that we can work through difficulties and emotional distress together.
I have a number of years experience of working within NHS mental health settings and with a diverse range of people from all walks of life, each bringing their own individual struggles, including:

As a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, I am a registered member of the UKCP.

As part of my training at the University of Kent, I have undergone many years of personal psychotherapy, which helps me to support my own clients.

Initial assessment - £50 (50 - 60 minutes)
Standard psychotherapy session - £50 (50 minutes)
The above are the typical fee arrangements. I offer a limited number of sessions on a sliding fee scale and so the cost of sessions can be negotiated at your initial consultation, where your financial situation will be taken into consideration. Late cancellations or missed sessions will be charged for at the full sessional rate. Sessions cancelled by myself will not be charged for.
Payment for the initial assessment is to be paid on the day, in cash. Subsequent sessions can be paid in cash or via bank transfer. Invoices are available upon request.
I am based in and around Folkestone, Canterbury and South East Kent. I currently hire rooms out of Bedonwell Counselling Centre in Folkestone, however alternative venues can be arranged upon request. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any queries.
