About me

I am a fully qualified and experienced UKCP Registered Psychosynthesis Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a Private Practice on Old Stevenage.

I aim to offer a safe, confidential and trusting space for you to explore and identify what is distressing you, your thoughts and feelings in relation to this without judgement or criticism, with a view to reaching a positive outcome for you. I work with warmth, humour and imagination.

Counselling may be of value to you if you are:

  • Having difficulties in personal/professional relationships
  • Dealing with life crisis or a time of change
  • Having a difficult relationship with food/your body;
  • Depressed - feeling life is hopeless
  • Bereaved - coping with loss
  • Self-damaging, addictive or compulsive patterns of behaviour

Training, qualifications & experience

I have 20+ years experience working with both individuals and couples.

My early training and experience was with National Marriage Guidance Council (now Relate) where I gained N.M.G.C. Accreditation.

I then trained with the Institute of Psychosynthesis. I gained a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and graduated with a P.G. Dip in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapeutic Counselling - Middx University.

I also hold a Diploma in the Supervision of Counsellors - C.S.C.T.

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

I believe that we all have the potential to overcome the pressures and challenges that life presents. At these times we may feel a sense of isolation and despair which does not have to be faced alone. Counselling is a collaborative relationship where we take a journey of discovery to explore where you are in life and what blocks you from getting where you would like to be.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.
