About me

I am a person-centred integrative therapist offering short and long-term psychotherapy and counselling to adults (18+).  I work with people face-to-face in Norwich UK, and everywhere else online.  I welcome enquiries from autistic/neurodivergent individuals and my practice is LGBTQi+ friendly and gender-affirming. Committed to anti-oppressive practice.

Specialisms:

- Autistic Clients

- Academics

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BSc in integrative psychotherapeutic counselling (Middlesex) and dual PhDs in counselling studies (UEA) and poetry (Dundee), so I have an interest in using creative writing and other creative methods in therapy. However, the decision to work creatively or not is always the client's to make and I also offer more standard forms of talk therapy depending on individual preferences. I recently completed additional training in  person centred creative arts practice and I am a member of the association for person centred creative arts (APCCA). I have specialist experience and lived experienced of working with autism and other varieties of neurodivergence. I am an EMCC qualified coach (with 15 years experience of working with coaching clients) and I hold the British Psychological Society primary certificate in coaching supervision.  I have experience of working with a range of issues in counselling, but my specialism is anxiety and low self-esteem, and navigating life as a neurodivergent person.

I like to write and research in ways which complement my clinical work. My current writing project is a book on poetry therapy (PCCS Books) which will be available in 2024.
