About me

I am an accredited & highly experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (BABCP) . Are you feeling stuck in life? Flooded by painful memories impacting your relationships, or struggling with recurring anxiety/ low mood and not sure how to move forward? Collaborating using my training and experience and your expert understanding of your own life we seek to make sense of your painful experiences and apply the rigorously researched therapeutic skills, tools and methods to move towards living a life thats meaningful to you.

I offer online evidence-based cognitive and behavioural therapies. Depending on the individual and their circumstances I draw from and integrate the range of CBT therapies into sessions, where needed. I am client-centred, working at your pace and your agenda without judgement and within safe boundaries.

I have been working in this field for over 11 years and working closely in psychological therapy teams and services for the last 5-6 years.

Sessions are usually around 50 minutes, initially we work together to develop a shared understanding of the current difficulties you are facing and then set a plan to work to intervene in patterns and cycles that might be keeping you stuck. For instance, in patterns of worthlessness, anxiety or irritability. Therapy can last between 8-20 sessions inclusive of assessment and ending sessions.

I work to empower my clients to give them the skills to continue on in becoming their own therapist. Together we create non-judgemental, genuine, confidential space to explore your perspectives and experiences.

I am always looking for your feedback and believe taking this step to be vulnerable and look at change is one of the most courageous things you can do.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am trained and specialise in the number 1 best evidence-based therapy across cultures and a range of difficulties: CBT.  I am experienced in tailoring treatment using many CBT third-wave approaches, such as Compassion-Focused therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment therapy. I have additional training and experience in working with complicated PTSD and using Narrative Exposure Therapy and also with working with co-morbid presentations like ADHD, autism, dissociation, and Long-Term health conditions, like fibromyalgia, MS, and chronic pain.

I have worked across the board in charitable and NHS services for primary care talking therapies, and secondary care services, like psychosis services and inpatient hospitals. I have many connections across the Berkshire, Hertfordshire, London and South West area and am referred clients by GP's and other charities who I have worked with in the past.

I maintain my credentials with BABCP and thus my competence as a therapist is routinely monitored. Thus demonstrating and upholding the highest safe, ethical practises and continue my professional development. I have been fortunate to receive training from some leading experts of the field.
