hello and welcome to my page thank you for taking the time to read the information:
As a counsellor I aim to offer a caring, non-judgemental space for you to explore any issues that are important or are concern to you. My experiences of life and personal journeys and development has given me an insight into myself and others that allows me to work in a compassionate and non-judgemental way. please take some time to look at the rest of my site to find out more about my approach to counselling and how we can help you.
Counselling is an opportunity to talk to someone about issues which concern you, in a safe and confidential environment. It is an opportunity to gain support and share issues which are concerning you at the moment… Counselling is about expressing and sharing feelings and emotions which are quite personal to you. Each one of us is a unique individual and we all experience our issues in very different ways.
Benefits of Counselling:
Understanding the past
Experiencing the present
to realise the future.
When we have issues which concern us, they may appear to be more than they are. Talking to someone who is not closely related, who is not involved with those issues, can be beneficial-this is the key benefit of counselling. Counselling can help gain more self-awareness, self acceptance and often improves the richness of peoples lives. Counselling helps you to explore and manage what is happening in your life. Maybe you have some worries or concerns that you need to think through or possibly some difficult decisions to make. As a Counsellor I aim to help you through difficult situations and provide you with an opportunity to move forward, it is your time to be heard and listened to. I offer the core conditions of Person Centred Counselling, those being, congruence (Honesty), empathy (taking a walk in your shoes), and unconditional positive regard (offering respect and working with an anti-oppressive and non-judgemental attitude).
As a Counsellors we will:-
Help you sort out and untangle your feelings and worries
Provide you with insight into how you really think and feel
Help you express your emotions in your own way
Help you work out your own solutions to problems
Help you accept what cannot be changed
Help and support you while you do this

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
