About us
Southover Counselling is situated in the Southover area of Lewes and based at church End house, in the south part of Lewes. We are near to Lewes railway station and local car parks. Whilst operating from a Christian base, we accept anyone irrespective or belief, gender. race, disability, faith or no faith. We offer a professional affordable counselling service to clients aged 7yrs to older age. We have five professionally trained counsellors with a range of expertise and experience. Waiting times are short and we usually manage an introductory consultation within two weeks of referral. Individuals and couple counselling. Youngsters and teenagers. We have been established for eleven years. Our referrals are often through personal recommendations, health professionals and local organisations. Training, qualifications & experience
All of the Southover team are professionally qualified experienced counsellors; all are registered counsellors and members of BACP and other accredited professional organisations.
The team encompasses a range of approaches, modalities and specialisms. We offer help and support to people struggling with a variety of concerns, including:

Association for Christian Counsellors
The Association of Christian Counsellors is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

Fees
Southover Counselling offers an affordable counselling service. It is our aim that no-one be excluded from counselling on financial grounds.
The full cost of the service is £40* per session and clients are asked to meet this as far as their financial circumstances allow. A sponsorship fund is maintained to help support those unable to meet the full cost. The first introductory session costs £10.
The fee level is discussed and agreed on an individual basis as part of the initial exploratory session.
