Welcome to my profile, if you are ready to talk, I am ready to listen!
I am a qualified psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with a non-judgmental and emphatic approach, offering you a safe and confidential space to explore your thought processes, negative thinking patterns and any issues that are causing you to feel distressed. I support your journey throughout the counselling process and encourage you towards achieving a harmonious and inner state of calm. All this is achieved by respecting your autonomy and understanding your journey from your perspective.
Whether it is a personal issue, relationship problems, feelings of despair, sense of hopelessness, bereavement, divorce, redundancy, health concerns or bullying, people from all walks of life, at one point or another experience challenges and distress. This can have an impact on our emotional and psychological well-being. Regardless of the issues/concerns bought into my counselling room, I promote your healing process from within.
Sessions last for 50-60 minutes and the number required will depend upon your individuals needs. I also offer a free phone consultation as I believe it is important you get to know what the process entails before booking any sessions. If you would like to go ahead, please contact me via phone or email.

My academic research was based on cultural and religious barriers to accessing mental health services within ethnic minorities. This enabled me to gain insight to the specific needs of these communities, therefore I am able to work with a culturally and religiously sensitive approach. I have also facilitated several groups, working with South Asian Women, raising awareness, challenging stigma and cultural misconceptions towards mental health issues.
