About me
"Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will!"
A warm welcome to my profile. I have been in the field of emotional health for over 20 years & have contributed, either through counselling or research, to many people making a positive change in their life. You may be feeling stressed or 'not good enough' in life. Or wanting to make a big life decision or small manageable changes.
I can adapt the therapeutic or coaching approach to your needs. I use a variety of short-term, solution focussed and evidence-based approaches such as; Single Session therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Coaching, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Compassion focussed therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and many more. I have a background in clinical research and so I remain up-to-date with innovative and evidence based models for emotional wellbeing and personal development.
I have a private practice predominantly working with adults. My specialist interest areas are, Personal Development and Growth, Imposter Syndrome, Confidence and Self-esteem building, and Stress & Anxiety management. I also provide a number of workshops in an organisational and community setting.
I believe in the importance of good self-care, including regular exercise and a healthy diet, for optimum physical and emotional wellbeing. My style is solution-focused, integrative, and adaptable. I also use a number of Coaching models, such as GROW, SPACE, and Cognitive Behavioural Coaching.
I am a fully qualified BACP registered Counsellor, BPS approved Chartered Research Psychologist, and a trained Coach. I am trained in multiple techniques and models for various psychological and day-to-day stress related conditions. Loss of confidence at work and low self-esteem is an example of what I have recently worked with. Low motivation and mood, anxious feelings, and burnout are also common reasons people come to me.
I offer an initial consultation over the phone. Please send me an email or call me to book a consultation. This gives both of us a chance to learn about each other. It enables me to find out something about the nature of the difficulties that brought you here, and you to evaluate something about the way I work. We might discuss what our work together might look like, what your expectations are and whether I can meet them. It is an opportunity for you to get a sense of me as your therapist and to see whether this might be the right place for you. If I am unable to work with what you present, I will signpost you to another service including your GP.
Through my coaching & counselling and personal development skills, I can assist you in this journey of achieving your goal and look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations
British Psychological Society
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
