About me

I work ONLINE only and I would like to personally welcome you to my profile and tell you a little bit about how I work and how we can work together.

My core beliefs are to work with warmth, confidentiality and with no judgement or opinions. I am passionate about helping you to recognise and understand your feelings and the way you relate to and build relationships on both a personal and professional level.  I want to listen to your thoughts, feelings, problems and concerns. Together we will work towards discovering a deeper understanding of who you are and why you act and react the way you do to people and in certain situations. This understanding can lead to a fuller and happier life with a deeper sense of meaning and purpose.

I am a qualified Counsellor and work over Skype, what’s app or FaceTime. Through working in my Practice I have had and continue to have the privilege of using my passion to help and guide my clients to achieve a better quality of emotional life. Because of this, I have extensive experience in working with relationship issues, anxiety, stress, depression, loss, trust issues, sexual issues, trauma, childhood sexual abuse, eating disorders and addiction.

I believe that my ongoing personal growth and professional knowledge is paramount to our work together and to achieve this I attend regular Continual Professional Development workshops and have weekly therapy.

What next......

I work on Skype, What’s app and FaceTime, short term and open ended. Firstly, we will arrange a time and day for the initial Assessment. This initial meeting lasts for 90 minutes, when we will discuss what led you to see me and what your expectations of our work together might be. If you feel that you would like to enter into regular sessions, then we arrange a time and day which is dedicated to you and our work together. Our 50 minute sessions are weekly.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

Life can be challenging and past experiences can affect your ability to make decisions and function on a day to day basis. At times, relationships can seem difficult to sustain and the overall quality of your life can feel hard to achieve.

If you are concerned about how you are feeling or have been responding to people and situations, it is often helpful to talk to someone apart from your partner, family or friends.

I offer a confidential, safe space for us to work together; a place for you to be listened to and heard. I work over Skype, what’s app video and FaceTime. I also work with clients that have moved abroad or relocated to a different part of the country. Moving away and into the unknown can evoke many feelings such as anxiety and loneliness as change can seem difficult and affect your emotional well being. I can help you to understand and process those feelings and settle in to your new environment.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
