Siobhan Toner MBACP
Delta House Business Centre
175-177 Borough High Street
I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I offer face-to-face counselling near London Bridge on Borough High Street and counselling online. This can be via a webcam, audio only or text based using Skype or VSEE or via phone.
I offer a free 30 minute consultation to discuss your needs. I believe that the basis of successful therapy is in the relationship between the client and counsellor and this consultation can help give you an idea of what it would be like to work with me.
The Person-Centred approach puts the focus on you the client and I have experienced how effective it can be. You are the expert in you, my role is to help you facilitate exploration of your concerns and to provide a safe space to do so.
We can have as few or as many sessions as you choose, with reviews after six sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Level 5 Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling and have been in practice for over 5 years.
I have worked extensively with low self-esteem, anxiety (in various forms such as social anxiety, generalised anxiety and OCD), stress and anger. I also have experience with working with loss, bereavement, sexual abuse, domestic violence, loneliness and relationship issues.
In addition to my private practice I work as a school counsellor in SE London and have done for several years where I work with 11-18 year olds.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working in Retail and IT and understand the impact working in high pressure environments can impact on our confidence, self-esteem and stress levels.
