Siobhan Poole M.A. Dip Psych, Dip Supervision,UKCP Accred, R.M. Bsc Hons, RGN
My name is Siobhan and i offer psychotherapy/ counselling to help you through your difficulties.
I have many years experience and my approach is to work intuitively and creatively so that each session is personal to you, with the aim of enabling you to live the life you hope for and to help you find your true potential.
I am highly trained having gained a masters degree and post graduate diploma in psychotherapy and am a member of the UKCP who ensure that ethical practice and high standards are maintained.
I believe that all of us at some point in our lives experience difficulties, it may be due to a painful event such as a bereavement, relationship difficulties or a more generalised feeling of low self esteem, depression or anxiety. Sometimes sharing difficult feelings with friends or family doesn't seem like an option for fear of judgement or shame, and struggling alone may not enable us to gain resolution. If you want to feel differently, and hope for a happier and more fulfilled life, exploring your difficulties through counselling/ psychotherapy can be a powerful and effective way of bringing about positive change.
Therapy sessions are usually weekly and last for 50mins.In the sessions you are given the opportunity to discuss your worries and problems in a confidential non judgemental environment . Many people feel a little nervous at the start, but often feel relieved that they have been able to open up and share uncomfortable feelings and to be heard and understood.
My experience is broad having worked with clients who suffer from stress anxiety and depression, as well as having extensive experience of working with drug and alcohol addictions, abuse, anger and pregnancy/ childbirth issues. Please contact me if you would like to discuss in more depth
