About me
Is anxiety affecting your day-to-day life?
Maybe your mind feels like it never switches off - constantly overthinking, second-guessing what you said, or worrying about things beyond your control. You might feel anxious in social settings, struggle to say no, or feel drained trying to please everyone. Some days you hold it together. Other days, even simple tasks can feel overwhelming.
If you’ve experienced trauma, certain sounds, places, or memories might trigger panic or leave you feeling on edge, disconnected, or emotionally flat. You might not feel “yourself” anymore - and you're not sure how to get back to that place.
If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.
I’m Sinead, an experienced Psychotherapist working with adults and teens experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, and low self-worth. I offer a safe, compassionate space where we can explore what’s going on beneath the surface and help you feel more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and life.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. We’ll work together to understand unhelpful patterns, build emotional resilience, and create practical tools that work for you so that you can manage overwhelm, build confidence and have healthier relationships. I offer:
- Online therapy-so you can access support from the comfort of your home
- Trauma therapy intensives-1, 2, or 3-day focused programmes for deeper work when weekly sessions aren’t suitable
Training, qualifications & experience
I'm a fully accredited Psychotherapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), Coach and Mental Health Consultant. I have a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. My training blends a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and person-centred therapy. I’m also trained in the Rewind Technique for PTSD, EMDR and hold certificates in suicide prevention (ASIST), substance use intervention (SAOR), and Children First safeguarding.
With years of experience, I’ve worked with Teenline Ireland, Bodywhys (eating disorders), The Village Counselling Service, and as a Teaching Assistant at The Institute for Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy in Dublin. I now work in private practice supporting teens and adults with anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence and relational issues.
My style is warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I believe in empowering clients to reconnect with themselves and make meaningful changes, at their own pace.
