About me

Life's challenges can sometimes leave us feeling unsettled, overwhelmed and in need of some help. It may be a past issue that has not yet felt comfortable to deal with or something you are dealing with right now. I am passionate about supporting people through these difficult times offering them the opportunity to  share and explore how their world feels for them.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I offer a warm, safe and non judgemental space for us to work with any issues or difficulties you bring. I am able to listen and support you in our time together, recognising what your individual needs are whilst working towards any resolutions or aims you may have. We will work collaboratively at a pace which feels comfortable for you.

I work as an integrative counsellor which means I have studied different approaches to counselling including Person Centred, CBT and Psychotherapeutic this allows me to best support your individual needs. I work relationally with individuals to build therapeutic, trusting relationship supporting them in their personal growth.

I have experience in working with a wide range of difficulties including, Anxiety, Panic, Depression, Self harm, loss and Relationship issues. Alongside private practice I have also worked for a young person's charity and within a secondary school supporting young people in their experiences.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
